She has won at PSG and Int 1 level, scoring over 71% and in 2021 competed at the National Championships in the Advanced Medium. Jolene has won and beenplaced at Premier Leagues at Advanced Medium, and is now training towards Grand Prix.

Jasper is an eccentric genius! He adores people and in his retirement lives out 24/7 with Bug (Nick of Thyme). He even has his feet trimmed in the field as he hates coming in.

During his competition days he did some amazing things for my career and he probably taught me more about horsemanship than any other horse. He really got into your head and knew every tiny thought going though it – so mindset to ride Jasper was hugely important.

On his day he was unbeatable but once he’d been somewhere a few times he tended to know where home was and, despite my best efforts, there were occasions it just wasn’t our day. I owe Jasper a huge amount.

Bug is one of the most lovely genuine personalities. He adores food and would do anything for it. He was such a consistent boy throughout his career and was a pleasure to do anything with. He also loved his hunting and I’ve had some fantastic days out with the Meynell with him. Bug and Jasper are great mates in their retirement and are regularly seen playing together in the field.

Toddy always thought what he was being asked to do was ‘pants’ until he learnt eventing was so much fun – thanks to the late Ian Olding who started him off in his naughty years.

He then became like a kid in a sweetie shop and lived for his eventing. He developed a rather cheeky habit when he got excited of instantly needing to roll – never quite managing to do it in prize givings but very nearly. He definitely has a naughty pony streak in him full of character!!

He is being a schoolmaster for the Lawsons grand-daughter.
